3 Day Rule

Recently I had a friend call me all upset. Upon calming her down and listening to her story I realized I too became angry. I had discovered she was dating a guy for 3 weeks or so and then 4 days ago he decided he was going to stop returning her phone calls. At first she thought something had happened to him, and she still hasn't proven nothing has. However, he doesn't return calls and she sent him one email. The second thing that came to my mind is that he was using this as a way to breakup with her.
Now why can't guys man up and just answer the phone and say "I'm sorry but I'm just not feeling it, I think we are not good together" then the lady can be on her way. Who teaches you guys these tricks? I mean they are funny when they are not happening to you, but when they happen to a friend or yourself it quickly becomes frustrating.
I haven't thought about this for a while, but I used to have this 3 day rule when I was dating in college. If I did not hear from a guy for 3 days, I considered it over, finished, done. I told my friend she should take up this rule immediately.
If you can go 3 days or more without talking to the person you are with (and you are not in a special, random circumstance) then you really would probably be happier by yourself.

Still Job Searching

So the other night I went in to train for the Nanny/Personal Assistant job I had lined up. WOW! This lady had some severe mental issues. I walked into the garage and there was enough ziplock bags, light bulbs, paper towels and other household supplies to last at least 2 years, and yet she had me unload 8 more boxes of trash bags!
I then went into the house and the whole hall was filled with 10-12 book bags (all see through clear plastic). They were labeled Mon-Sat and had one row for one child and the other row for the other child. There was a lady who came in once a week to organize wardrobe for the week (including shoes and underwear) on hangers. Two outfits per day in case one gets dirty.
I soon saw the dad drop the girls off (ages 4 and 6). The 4 year old ran to the kitchen to get her bottle with chocolate milk (really at 6pm you are going to give her chocolate milk ... in a bottle no less!). This little girl is too old to be drinking out of a bottle, but when mom and dad don't pay attention to her I can understand her need to feel like a baby.
After a couple hours there I came across way too many things that I couldn't morally handle and I decided to leave. I told her if she would like a nanny than I would be willing to return to take care of the girls every evening, other than that I could not handle the chaos that went on in the house.

I guess this leaves me to more job hunting. Sent out 8 resumes today and I'm sure something will come up.

Job Search

I moved to FL knowing I had a job lined up. It isn't an amazing job, and has nothing to do with chiropractic, but it's a job. It will be part nanny and part personal assistant. It is only 3 days a week, but long hours so it will pay enough for me.

However, plans have changed a little. When I got home I started to talk to my brother about the job and he mentioned I should go and try to get a personal training position at one of the local gyms. I hadn't thought about it and I don't know why, but this was a great idea. I have been speaking with numerous gyms in the area and have a few leads. I hope by August I can switch from personal assistant to personal training.

Wish me luck!

Cross Country Drive

The move Cross Country went well . The first day I left early and drove all the way to Fort Stockton, TX. I slept for only 2.5 hours (I just couldn't sleep) and then got on the road again by 4:30am. At this point I was upset that I spent money on a hotel room when I didn't even use it, therefore I decided if I got tired I would just pull over and sleep in the car for an hour or so. Normally I would be completely scared to do this; however, I had the 70lb dog with me in the car who can hear an avocado falling 5 miles away and barks. She had me protected. I slept in a hotel parking lot the first stop at about 12am for about an hour (at this point I was in Pensacola) and the second stop was for an hour and a half in Tallahassee. I couldn't believe I drove this much!
